A band to watch and I am sure live they will be even better than on CD. **** Get Ready to Rock - Review by Jason Ritchie

Adding to the ever growing crop of rock and roll bands for the new millennium whose line-ups seem to feature impeccably dishevelled, cheekbone-flaunting young gadabouts, Fables Last Stand are here with their new single "Bite the Hook".
Following the lead of other names in the aforementioned crop, such as Roadstar, Red Star Rebels (old i-h? faves, and tour mates to FLS) and Kid Ego, Fables Last Stand have that uncanny ear for, ahem, hooks, which makes this single a lot of fun to listen to.
As I've mentioned before, I believe the knack to making the grade for these new bands is that whilst their influences may be clear, it’s also important for them to sound relevant and update the reference points for the 00's, rather than replicating, which FLS seem to have pulled off nicely.

As their press statements reveal, they are clearly confident young chaps and why not, they've written a couple of corking tunes for release here, and if the throwaway sound of the B-side "Road Religion is anything to go by, the they clearly have the repertoire to play around with, even from these two tunes. Its "don't look back music", and whilst it has a enticing grasp of melody and mystique (making the bands influences from names like Stone Temple Pilots just as clear as that of Aerosmith), there is also a relentless energy to it that'll make it work on dance floors, or drowning out the sounds of Saturday night at all those parties is hardcore? readers like to throw…
is hardcore? Recommends you look out for these guys, they've got a good string of dates coming up across the UK starting from Jan 29th, straight through to the single launch in Newcastle on the 10th of February, and the tour seems to cover most of the requisite areas of the country, so chances are they're coming to a town near you.
Whatever you do, the sounds of the "Bite the Hook" single promises big riffs, a competent use of all their five members, and a clear understanding of rock and roll music. And as my dear readers know, if I say something’s that good, you should already be out there listening to it! - Hardcore Magazine 28.1.07

Having been together for less than 2 years Fables Last Stand have gone from strength to strength and have recently signed a one off single deal with London based Indie record company End Of The Trail Records.
Both young and gifted they are bringing back real rock to the masses. Incendiary performances up and down the country have had them hailed as the saviours of REAL rock n' roll. Think AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, Motley Crue.
THEN THINK AGAIN. In vocalist Roachie and sidekick Twiggy we can see the beginnings of a powerful duo fronting the band. Backed with Allan Burdon (Bass), Black John (rhythm guitar) and Phil the Beat on drums there is no stopping this 5 piece. Support slots with Rattlesnake Remedy, Red Star Rebels and Kid Ego prove the band are well on their way.
Just listen to the power of their debut single and check out the b-side "Road Religion" as it is just as good! Not many bands can afford to throw away a killer song like that without a second thought.

Catch them at a small venue while you can. You won't be disappointed! - Hair Metal Ireland
Caught an absolute blinding rock act last Saturday in Whitley Bay by accident...I went to see another band that were on the same night...but this band are mint. Total stage presence and class tunes. Check them out on myspace and catch them live if you can. - Dr Ted- Digital Spy
Fables Last Stand - Bite The Hook (End Of The Trail) – Big rock, big riff rock – think Horse London, The Almighty, The Cult, 70’s style dirty power riff ‘n raunch and things like Montrose or Starz or Hellcats or Starfighters and all tattoos and sunglasses and... Sounds they’d kick up a storm live. – Organ Magazine – Underground Music London

This was the Geordie sleaze rockers 2nd visit to RocKD and they got a good reception. Kicking of with 'Road Religion' front man Roachie and guitarist Twiggy (or Jack Sparrow:) ) showed plenty of attitude to get the crowd warmed up.

'Bite the Hook' is the guys first single went down a storm, plenty of groove and heavy rock is just what you need on a Saturday afternoon and Fables Last Stand know how to create the perfect party atmosphere.

The bands sleaze rock tracks were heavy enough to please the usual Katy's crowd and the guys left behind a great atmosphere. The band have only been together for 2 years and hopefully when they come back to Belfast they will have some new material cause I could have happily listened to them all day!! – Kickin Trix, Belfast gig review

“'Road Religion' is an absolutely corking piece of classic sleaze rock, straight out of the Salty Dog school of rock, which could explain how it's been remixed by the legendary Mike Fraser (AC/DC, Aerosmith, Guns N Roses). They're also heading out to every public toilet in the country come September, so get yourself down the front” – Metal4life

The band's debut single and they have already been gaining favourable reviews from amongst others ‘Classic Rock' magazine. They really have tapped into the AC/DC sound riff wise and it is not a bad tune at all. Nice mean and dirty chorus makes for a very strong tune. The other track ‘Road Religion' is okay but nowhere near as good as the title track.
