Canada Single Recording

So we arrived and hit the Roxy Bar to check out the local bands.

Twiggy and Roachie got warned for dancing "too vigorously" but the bands management managed to calm the situation and we continued. We seemed to give plenty of change to the homeless people' at least they looked homeless.

The band is working with Jeff Dawson on the tracking and arrangements and Mike Fraser will be mixing.

The warehouse studio is in Vancouver Canada. It's owned by Bryan Adams who apparently saved the building from demolition and turned into one of the worlds best studios.

Relaxing in the studio first day. (Black John has collapsed and was asleep!)

Day 2

More drums and some more drums

Jeff Dawson at the Neve Desk (one of only 3 made) at the Warehouse Studio.

Day 3

I'm not going!

Alan telling us the number of notes he can play

Day 4

Putting down all the guitars on Don't Come Down and finishing the bass. It's taking shape and sounding really lush/mint/Cushty - great.

Here's a video of how its sounding.

In true rock star fashion Twiggy hooked up with a famous porn star called Sasha

Alan laying down the bass on don't come down - telepathically - look no hands.

Mike Fraser's 1940's valve amps which we are using.

Some of the guitars!

Old old amps which sound so so good.

Hot Legs Twiggy - it's a long story

Twiggy losing the biggest tongue competition, but winning the nicest legs competition.

Jeff Dawson invited us to his Church on Sunday night and the band was so pleased to be going. The longest wind up in history - Roachie in particular was ecstatic!

Twiggy with Jeff Dawson's Liquid guitar which has a great sound. He used it on Don't Come Down (Hard).

 Lost count of Days

Took the day off and went to the beach

This is the view fro the 14th floor of the Sandman on Davie in Vancouver. It's what we see when we wake up and look out the window.

Some of the old amps we're using

Just another quiet night out, Roachie broke his shades.

Here's some video of Twiggy putting down a guitar track
